Norton Save & Restore 2.0 Features
File and folder back up lets you choose specific files and folders to save, rather than an entire drive. Backs up to almost any media, including CDR/RW and DVD+-R/RW drives, USB and FireWire (IEEE 1394) external storage devices, and Iomega Zip and Jaz drives. One-step setup wizard automatically creates an initial backup schedule based on your computer’s storage devices and system settings.

To receive the full Norton Save & Restore product via download (which includes the Symantec Recovery Disk needed for a full system restore), you will have to download the Norton Save & Restore file (approximately 65 MB) and the .ISO file ( approximately 200 MB) and burn the .ISO file onto a CD to create the Symantec Recovery Disk. Additionally, you must have the Microsoft .NET framework installed.
If you're upgrading to Windows Vista, you do not need to install Norton Save & Restore before continuing your upgrade. Existing Ghost recovery points and data will remain intact on the backup partition following the upgrade; however, neither the recovery points nor data will be accessible until Norton Save & Restore 2.0 has been installed.
